The Abandoned Theme Park (Chapter 2)

I approached her as she pulled up her hood. I gasped because her eyes were sore and bloodshot, the hole in her jeans at her knee oozed crimson blood, the only thing good about her face was her warm welcoming smile, she opened her mouth to speak and stated, "Hello, my name is Ariana, my parents owned this amusement park and died here, I was left alone seven years ago, I was ten."

I couldn't help but feel sorry, she's my age and she was left homeless when we were ten years old.
I blurted out "Oh don't worry Ariana, here, have my jacket."
I handed her my jacket but she didn't take it, she shook her head and said,
"I may be poor but I don't take sympathy."

I liked her, she was determined to have a right to things, like her parents theme park.
I glanced at charlie but he had become besotted, he bent over and held her bandaged hand with compassion. I didn't know it for sure, but I was kind of jealous, he'd always fallen for me!

"Um, Ariana, would you like to come home with us and stay the night?" I asked kindly,
she took down her hoodie off her head to reveal a straggly, messy hairdo that covered her eyes, she nodded with excitement and wonder.
"Good, lets get back, its pouring it down... hey charlie, d'you think principal proud would allow Ariana to come in to school tomorrow?" I dragged him away before he could declare his undying love to her.

He shrugged his shoulders and led Ariana out of the park and onto the path. I followed, kicking the leaves on the floor, when we reached the graveyard she pulled her trainers to a stop and ran down the graveyard road and came to a halt at a stone tower, it was magnificent, engraved on a angel carving were the names 'Gordon Camil' and 'Harriet Camil'
